Camco Portable Toilet

Camco Portable Toilet

Camco's 5.3 gallon portable toilet is designed for camping trips, RVs, and boats. Its sturdy polyethylene construction is compact and lightweight.

When you are planning your next big trip, then you will need to remember to pack everything you need, including a portable toilet to make life easier.

The Camco 41541 portable toilet is an excellent choice for any avid camper, and when you get hold of this fantastic model, we are confident that you'll never want to swap it for a different one.

It's a two-part toilet that is easily moved and emptied and comes with many useful features that will give you more time to enjoy yourself rather than spend your time worrying about emptying the toilet.

The toilet has a 2.5-gallon flush tank and a 5.3-gallon holding tank. Both tanks can be easily separated but are then securely linked to make the toilet simple to use.

The size of the toilet is very useful as it won’t need to be constantly emptied.

When you are going away on a camping trip and don’t want to step outside to find a toilet then this is a great choice and can provide a family of four with enough space for an entire weekend trip.

The holding tank is fully detachable for ease of cleaning and emptying, and it comes with sealing values to reduce the risk of leakages or spills when in transit.

Average Flushes

The number of times the toilet can be flushed before needing emptying depends on the user and many other factors.

However, there is a common agreement that the Camco portable toilet can be used between 12 – 17 times before needing to be emptied.

The bellow flush is a great addition as it lets the 2.5 gallon unit flush through to the waste tank when needed.

The flush tank also has sturdy latches to keep the toilet together securely and handle to help move it when it needs to be refilled.

This model is very easy to move and stow away when traveling between destinations. It's lightweight and simple to set up.

There are side latches that you can use to secure the top part of the toilet to the bottom, and these come apart easily for moving.

The other great feature is the integrated handles; they make it a breeze to transport, and because they are fully integrated, there are no additional steps that need to be taken before you can unhook the top and bottom and pack it away.

The Camco portable toilet is 15.5 inches high with a width of 14 inches. However, the actual toilet seat is only 13 inches.

The toilet unit is 16 inches long, and it is a compact design made with maximum comfort in mind.

This toilet has perfected the balance between making a toilet that is large enough to use comfortably without taking up so much room that it becomes impossible to use on a camping trip.

Users will find the seat comfortable and the flush easy to use; it’s as good as it gets when you are using a toilet away from home.

When the toilet is empty, it weighs only 10.8 lbs, making it easy to transport and lift into position wherever you find yourself in the world.

Because it is so light, a wide variety of users can put it together, use and empty it.

It can hold up to 330 lb in weight when in situ and can be easily emptied from the waste pipe to save lifting and spills. It is not recommended that the toilet is transported full and it is always advisable to empty it before unlatching it.

The toilet is made with maintenance in mind, and the unit is simple to access and clean so you are not left with difficult corners and crevices that can't be reached.

Each section can be filled with cleaning products and then emptied to help kill any lingering bacteria before storing between trips.

Ease of Emptying

The waste tank sits at the bottom of the toilet, and the sliding gate valve lets waste out but also has a water-tight seal that helps to keep smells locked away when not in use.

When the time comes to empty the tank, you can lift it with the side handles and then remove the cap that is attached and empty it out.

Other Features

This model comes with many useful features that make using it a joy, but it would be hard to miss the following three when considering buying:

  1. The toilet comes with a limited one year warranty for parts and a 30-day warranty for labor. This means that if you have any issues when you buy it, you can get it fixed without any hassle. This adds peace of mind and allows you to plan lots of adventures without any worries.
  2. The toilet is budget-friendly and will be affordable for most campers so that you no longer have to dive behind a bush when you are in need of the bathroom! It’s especially brilliant when you have small children who would prefer to use their own toilet rather than a rest stop.
  3. The toilet comes with waste tablets that will get you started on removing your waste; you just dissolve one and let it stand in the toilet. It will help to keep everything odor-free and ready to be emptied when the tank is full.

It's also a great choice if you are looking for a toilet that can be set up in an outhouse for guests so that they do not need to traipse around in the dark, finding somewhere to go to the toilet.

It's a quality toilet made from durable polyethylene, and you will be able to rely on it to do its job well time and time again.
